After a childhood spent in Galloway, Southwest Scotland, I went to Glasgow to gain my BA (hons) degree in Fine Art Photography, from Glasgow School of Art.
On graduating I exhibited throughout Scotland including Stills Gallery, Edinburgh, as well as part of Ikon Gallery in Birmingham.
Beyond this I had a career in retail, managing both Jessops’ flagship Scottish store in Edinburgh, and Black & Lizars, the largest independent photographic retailer in Scotland.
Since 2005 I have worked as a freelance photographer, working with clients as diverse as Army Recruitment, Greggs, NHS Community Exchange and Scottish Widows.
